The Come, Lord Jesus! Lenten Journey booklet is a perfect way to introduce someone new to the Come, Lord Jesus! program. It is a 7-week, all-inclusive booklet that provides everything needed to participate in a Come, Lord Jesus! group for the entire season of Lent through Easter Sunday. Contents of the packet include, specifically for each Sunday of Lent, program outline, Gospel passage, Scriptural Questions for Discussion, associated references to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Spiritual/Doctrinal Reading, Scriptural Passage on the Apostolate and Second Coming, selected text from the Member Handbook , and associated prayers.
While the Scripture text is provided, participants are free to bring their own personal Bibles noting that all questions and footnotes are based on the New American Bible. Several church parishes are participating in the Lenten Journey program and integrating Lenten members into their existing Come, Lord Jesus! groups or forming new groups with experienced Leaders. While the program is in full swing, if anyone is interesting in jumping in and finishing out their Lenten Journey, you are more than welcome. Every day is a new beginning. God takes us in on any given day, and so does Come, Lord Jesus! The program goes from week to week, one week at a time with fresh material each week. As the upcoming Sunday Liturgy changes, so does the material for the week so there is no compounding of material to miss out on.
